I – Reminder of Participation Rules

The Heroes Legacy qualifying rounds are fast approaching! Before diving in, here are some essential rules and information to know.

General Information

Dates: The Heroes Legacy qualifiers run from October 1 at 08:00 UTC to October 22 at 08:00 UTC. A dedicated Era for these qualifiers will be available from October 1 to October 22, after which the Era will return to the S4 Era.

How to qualify: Finish among the top 8 on the HL Era leaderboard before October 22 at 08:00 UTC. Rankings are updated in real time, every minute, on the TCG.

⚠️ Mandatory update: Available Wednesday, October 1 at 08:00 UTC on Epic Games. Android and iOS versions will follow within 24–48 hours after approval by Google and Apple.

Eligibility

  • Minors must be at least 16 years old and accompanied by a legal guardian.
  • A valid ID, a photo, and possibly a KYC video will be required from the 8 finalists after notification by email (a reminder will also be posted on Discord). A response within 24 hours is mandatory, otherwise the player will be disqualified.
  • International players must hold a valid visa to enter France between November 7 and 10 for the on-site event.
  • If a finalist is found non-compliant after qualification, their spot will be given to the next eligible player.

Fair Play & Bug Management

  • A server-side anti-cheat system is active at all times.
  • Using exploits may result in a warning or disqualification, depending on the organizers’ discretion.
  • Individual bugs will not be compensated.
  • Widespread bugs will be analyzed and may lead to a patch during qualifiers, temporary authorization, or a sanction.
  • The team reserves the right to implement balance updates during qualifiers if necessary (all updates will be communicated on the official Discord). However, no balance patches will be made between October 22 and November 8 for the 8 finalists.
  • Transparency is required: all players must report anomalies via the official Discord, where decisions will be announced. Repeatedly exploiting a bug without reporting it may result in disqualification.

B) Qualifying Process

During the HL Era, the Champion rank now includes all ranks starting from Bronze (for example, if I am the 49th player, even in Silver, I will be considered a Champion). The leaderboard is refreshed every minute. October 1, 08:00 UTC: New HL Era begins with a hard reset.

From October 1, 08:00 UTC to October 15, 08:00 UTC:

  • 100 Champions in total.
  • All Champions lose 75 LP per inactive day at 08:00 UTC.
  • Daily inactivity is reset upon completing one ranked match.

October 15, 08:00 UTC:

  • Only the top 70 Champions retain their Champion rank; the bottom 30 revert to their previous rank outside of Champion.
  • No new players can become Champions from this date onward; Champion ranks are frozen until October 22, 08:00 UTC.
  • From this point, daily inactivity is reset after three ranked matches instead of one.

From October 15, 08:00 UTC to October 20, 08:00 UTC:

  • Every day at 08:00 UTC, the bottom 10 Champions lose their rank and revert to their previous rank outside of Champion.

October 21, 08:00 UTC:

  • The bottom 12 Champions lose their rank and revert to Diamond.
  • This leaves the 8 finalists as the only remaining Champions.

October 22, 08:00 UTC:

  • The rank of the 8 Champions is then frozen.
  • This final ranking will be used for the quarterfinal matchups.
Heroes Legacy decay

Decay: Decay only applies to Champions and occurs daily between 08:00 and 08:10 UTC.

In the event of an MMR tie among Champions: priority is given to the player who reached that MMR first.

Balancing: During the qualifiers, balance adjustments may occur, but no balancing will be done between October 22 and November 10, in order to maintain a stable version for the 8 finalists.

II – The 8 Finalists

The qualifiers are over, and we now have our 8 finalists. They will fly to Marseille in November for the grand finale, competing for a $25,000 prize pool in CTA tokens to be shared.

Coverage: Transport and accommodation in Marseille are covered. Personal expenses (meals, extras) are the responsibility of the players.
