As you may have noticed, there are several parameters that define a card and its capabilities in the TCG Cross The Ages. Among them is the arkhome. Below, you’ll learn about the impact of these and how to use them to your advantage.
In the Cross The Ages books, there is a people, the Arkhantes, with elemental magical powers who are called Arkhomes. There are seven of them in all, namely: Fire, Earth, Water, Air, Nature, Light, Darkness.
The cards have only one arkhome assigned, visible in the top right corner of the card.
Cross The Ages has a strength/weakness and affinity (between two cards) or double affinity (between 3 cards) system that links the elements. Thus, we have developed this heptagram opposite.
Example: the Nature arkhome has an advantage over the Earth and Water arkhomes but is weakened against the Air and Fire arkhomes.
A card with a direct elemental advantage (e.g. Water over Fire) gains a +150 power bonus.
In addition, an affinity between two arkhomes grants a +100 bonus to each card involved in a single or double affinity.
A card can accumulate the bonuses of a double affinity and two single affinities: it can therefore be boosted up to +300 as long as you have the cards that allow affinities!
